In yet another U-turn by the Trump administration, the U.S. Department of Justice, led by Attorney General Pam Bondi, has announced that the bribery investigation into Pfizer will be closed. Pfizer has faced allegations of paying bribes in countries such as Mexico, China, and Russia in pursuit of business opportunities, actions that would constitute violations of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Over the past few years, Pfizer has risen to become the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, amassing over $100 billion in profits since the onset of COVID-19.

Questions have been raised after it was revealed that Pfizer spent $800,000 on bodyguards for its CEO and top executives. Many have expressed concern over how the company can generate such vast revenue. The decision to end the bribery investigation comes at a time when individuals close to President Trump, including Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., have publicly stated that the COVID-19 vaccines were not properly tested and have caused numerous side effects. President Trump, who went back on his words to expose the Epstein files, himself had previously called for a thorough investigation into the scientific methods used in the development of the vaccines. However, to the surprise of many, the Attorney General of the United States has now announced that there will be no bribery investigation into Pfizer.

The Pfizer saga has deepened divisions within the MAGA movement, as existing tensions between Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, particularly over the handling of the Epstein files, have intensified. These rifts have only widened amid the Pfizer controversy, especially with allegations that Pam Bondi was previously associated with Pfizer. Many believe that this past connection influenced her decision to shut down the bribery investigation into the company. Reports have also emerged that Dan Bongino walked out of a meeting where Bondi was present, signalling growing discord. The conflict between the two is rooted in both the Epstein case and the COVID vaccine scandal. The FBI Deputy Director has reportedly stated that he may resign if Pam Bondi does not step down.

Soon after this, FBI Director Kash Patel also threatened to resign if Dan Bongino were to step down. Many people in the United States feel betrayed, as they had hoped for a thorough investigation into Pfizer and the COVID-19 vaccines, with the expectation that the scientific facts and truth would be revealed, as promised during President Trump’s campaign. However, with the Trump administration now shutting down the investigation into Pfizer, a growing number of voters feel disillusioned and let down.

However, the accusations against Pfizer are not limited to the United States. EU President Ursula von der Leyen has been accused of fast-tracking Pfizer’s approval across the European Union by bypassing all legislative processes. Reports suggest that von der Leyen approved the vaccines on her own and did so through WhatsApp. It is believed that she had a WhatsApp conversation with Pfizer’s CEO, through which the approval for Pfizer was granted in the European Union.

Many people now believe that Ursula von der Leyen should be investigated for corruption, as it is alleged that she may have accepted bribes to fast-track Pfizer’s approval across the EU. These allegations have been raised by political figures in France and several other European countries, with conservative leaders in France particularly targeting the EU President. In response, von der Leyen has dismissed the accusations, claiming they are yet another politically motivated attack from the left. Despite growing calls from members of the European Parliament for a formal investigation, no such inquiry has been launched as of now.

The Scientific Argument

The controversy surrounding Pfizer is not limited to allegations of bribery and financial misconduct. Even more significant, some argue, is what they describe as a ‘scientific crime.’ Many health experts around the world have raised serious concerns about the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines. According to the scientific community, the development of a safe and effective vaccine typically requires nearly a decade of research and testing. However, in the case of the COVID-19 vaccines, the process was completed within just one to two years, and even then, the clinical trials were fast-tracked shortly after the initial development.

In addition, several other reports have surfaced. mRNA vaccines like those from Moderna and Pfizer have been linked to significant cardiac side effects in some cases. There are also growing concerns about the claimed efficacy of these vaccines. While the companies reported an effectiveness rate of around 90 to 95%, members of the scientific community have questioned the reliability of those figures. Critics argue that such high efficacy rates may have been based on relatively small sample sizes, raising doubts about whether these numbers hold across broader, more diverse populations.

Additionally, the business generated from booster doses has also come under scrutiny. As of now, there is no credible documentation or conclusive evidence proving that booster shots offer a significant advantage in terms of efficacy. Many critics argue that booster vaccines were introduced primarily to expand and sustain the profits of pharmaceutical companies, rather than to meaningfully enhance immunity or improve health outcomes.

Although there is no concrete proof that Western leaders were directly involved in the alleged corruption scandal, the sharp rise in Pfizer’s net revenues and the lack of transparency in the approval processes in both the United States and the European Union raise serious questions. Were EU leaders — or perhaps Western leadership as a whole — working hand-in-glove with major pharmaceutical companies during one of the greatest human crises in modern history, the COVID-19 pandemic?
