120 Retired Generals and Military Officers of the US Army Sign a Letter Warning of Conflict Between Marxism and US ‘Constitutional Freedom’

More than 120 retired U.S. generals and admirals have signed an open letter warning that the United States is embroiled in an existential fight and urged “all citizens” to get involved in local and state politics.

Epoch Times reports that the letter says that the US is in a fight for survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since its founding in 1776. “The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty,” states the letter (Link to external PDF document), which was signed by 124 former military leaders, released by “Flag Officers 4 America.”

The letter also expressed fear over the proposed bills and laws by the opposition that would strengthen election initiatives has troublesome implications.

“Election integrity demands ensuring there is one legal vote cast and counted per citizen. Legal votes are identified by State Legislature’s approved controls using government IDs, verified signatures, etc. Today, many are calling such commonsense controls ‘racist’ in an attempt to avoid having fair and honest elections,” the letter states.

According to the Flag Officers 4 America website, it’s a group of former military leaders who “pledged to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies,” whether “domestic” or “foreign.”

Prominent signatories of the letter include retired Army Brig. Gen. Donald Bolduc—a Senate candidate in New Hampshire, retired Army Lt. Gen. William Boykin, and retired Vice Adm. John Poindexter—who was the deputy national security adviser to President Ronald Reagan.

Threat from China

The letter further states “China is the greatest external threat to America. Establishing cooperative relations with the Chinese Communist Party emboldens them to continue progress toward world domination, militarily, economically, politically, and technologically. We must impose more sanctions and restrictions to impede their world domination goal and protect America’s interests,” the letter says.

Other threats they listed include the United States reentering the Iran nuclear deal, illegal immigration, and the stoppage of the Keystone XL Pipeline project. President Joe Biden issued an order halting the pipeline project early in his presidency.

On BLM and other Protests

Taking a hard stand on disturbances created across the US in the name of BLM and other protests, the letter says “The “Rule of Law” is fundamental to our Republic and security. Anarchy as seen in certain cities cannot be tolerated. We must support our law enforcement personnel and insist that DAs, our courts, and the DOJ enforce the law equally, fairly, and consistently toward all”.

The Retired Generals have also taken note of the health of the POTUS. The letter says that the ‘mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief cannot be ignored”. “He must be able to quickly make accurate national security decisions involving life and limb anywhere, day or night”, it says.

Turn toward Socialism & Marxism

The strongest observations comes when the letter charges that “Under a Democrat Congress and the Current Administration, our Country has taken a hard left turn toward Socialism and a Marxist form of tyrannical government which must be countered now by electing congressional and presidential candidates who will always act to defend our Constitutional Republic. The survival of our Nation and its cherished freedoms, liberty, and historic values are at stake”.

Urging the citizens to ‘Save America”, the letter urges “citizens to get involved now at the local, state and/or national level to elect political representatives who will act to Save America, our Constitutional Republic, and hold those currently in office accountable. The “will of the people” must be heard and followed, it concludes.
